There are some groundbreaking and hugely positive uses for AI and this is one of them.
SkinAnalytics is a pioneer in AI skin cancer detection. Their mission is to make…“early, accurate diagnosis accessible to everyone. creating a world where diseases such as skin cancer are caught earlier, treated faster and outcomes are improved.”
SkinAnalytics is already deeply embedded in healthcare systems across the globe including the NHS in the UK. Their core product, DERM, is the only Class III CE-marked AI medical device for skin cancer, and they are now in a unique position to launch on a much bigger scale, bringing this important technology to a much wider audience.
At a point where they are fine-tuning their product for different levels of skin checking demand i.e. clinical diagnostic, expert medical, GP services and potentially home use, they are in the midst of a brand building exercise to fully support the product propsed structure.
At this formative stage and whilst the product hierarchy is being fully defined, the current website had a bland an unappealing interface designed to deliver facts to a clinical audience. Now, the need was to elevate the brand and the product and start to actually give it a public face.
Improving the online presentation
Inca Creative was commissioned by SkinAnalytics to help develop the brand presentation on their website homepage. We looked at the available material and core messaging and, working quickly with their Marketing Director, set about structuring a more dynamic story to convey the purpose and benefits of this cutting-edge technology.
The SkinAnalytics software itself is bespoke AI driven and has a highly technical purpose-built AI engine behind it. It is able to scan and reference a huge database of information to deliver incredibly accurate results in skin cancer identification.
It’s role primarily is as a triage system, able to assess and diagnose skin concerns from photographs rapidly and effectively, ultimately reducing the financial burden of skin cancer on health systems around the world.
Building a home page with purpose
We set about building a home page with key messaging, images, video and definitions to help explain the SkinAnalytics proposition. By utilising the full brand guideline options and colour palette and improving the content hierarchy we have significantly improved the understanding of what SkinAnalytics is, the credentials behind it, how it works, who uses it and evidence of success.
It’s an important step as they move to the next level, drawing their central storyline into focus and helping to manoeuvre the brand concept into new marketplaces.
It’s fantastic to see the positive opportunities for AI usage in medical science for improvements in health and, no doubt, this is just the beginning of the potential for this kind of diagnostic approach.
We’re pleased to have played a part and look forward to seeing SkinAnalytics have a bigger presence in the global health arena. It’s another great example of how a focused creative approach can quickly bring clarity, energy and a stronger public face to a complex proposition.
